Position Summary

Ditansource is looking for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our remote development team. This is a part-time opportunity to work on live systems and real-world web applications that power a global freelancing platform. You’ll play a key role in building scalable and secure features and improving system performance across both front-end and back-end technologies. You'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver robust solutions that enhance user experience, security and platform functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Build scalable backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and optionally Java
• Manage and optimize MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
• Integrate and test third-party APIs using tools such as Postman
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews, version control, and collaborative development using Git and GitHub
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, test, and deploy new features
• Identify and troubleshoot bugs, improve performance, and ensure high system reliability
• Basic application security knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with Node.js and Express.js
• Hands-on knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Java for backend development (optional, but a plus)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and API integration
• Experience using Postman or similar tools for testing
• Proficiency with Git and working in collaborative development environments
• A personal portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating relevant projects is highly preferred
